Tax credits due to WOTC-food-stamp-qualified new
hires will likely rise, and may increase dramatically. Already, at the
end of 2008, a record 30 million Americans were receiving food stamps.
- The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, signed
by President Obama Feb. 17th, is a $789 billion package which includes
$19.9 billion in added funds for the Food Stamp Program.
- State programs are making it easier to receive
food stamps. Click here to see Washington State's "Basic Food" program.
- Food stamps are likely to play a major role in the
lives of job seekers. Jim Weill, president of the Food Research and
Action Center says, "If the economic forecasts come true, we're likely
to see the most hunger that we've seen since the 1981 recession and
maybe since the 1960s."
Let's be sure every new hire completes their WOTC forms. Then, mail
them - asap - to Mckenzie Chase.
The result: you're saving money during these tough times, without
incurring additional cost or investment. Truly, for WOTC participants
there is good news, in spite of the current economy.
