McKenzie Chase Management
Celebrates 40 Years in Business

 Seattle, WA, November,2022
November update: As of this month, McKenzie Chase Management hit a major milestone–they are now officially 40 years old. With good, old-fashioned savviness and innovative out-of-the-box thinking, this tax credit consulting firm rose to the top of their industry by finding money for thousands of businesses in new and unexpected ways–all by primarily focusing on various tax credit programs.

Founded in 1982 by “Mack” McKenzie and Evelyn Chase, they processed new hires for companies through the Targeted Jobs Tax Credit (TJTC) Program, a special government program that incentivized employers to hire employees from hard-to-employ groups–oftentimes
these were people who were economically disadvantaged.

In many ways, the TJTC was the predecessor for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), but unlike TJTC, WOTC required employers to pre-
screen their job applicants before or on the day they presented a job offer. When WOTC was fully implemented in 1996, McKenzie Chase
Management introduced the program to their clients and has continued to provide guidance to this day.

By 2009, McKenzie Chase Management implemented their proprietary electronic tax credit system, stressing an “ease-of-use” approach
without the need for extensive training or lengthy tutorials. Among all the ways they help their clients, they offer tailored tax credit processes, audit protection and documentation, and specialized tax credit support.

“We don’t follow a ‘one size fits all’ approach,” said current CEO Michael Lancey in regards to their methodology, “Our holistic process
accommodates our clients’ operations with minimal demands.”

As McKenzie Chase looks to the future, it remains committed to helping its clients navigate the ever changing landscape of tax law. With its
experience and expertise, McKenzie Chase is poised to continue its leadership role in the tax consulting industry for years to come.
